Its status as a beacon of culture is symbolized by Pharos, the legendary lighthouse that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Since the 19th century Alexandria has played a new role, as a focus for Egypt’s commercial and maritime expansion. This Alexandria has been immortalized by writers such as E.M. Forster and Cavafy. Generations of immigrants from Greece, Italy and the Levant settled here and made the city synonymous with commerce, cosmopolitanism and bohemian culture; Lawrence Durrell described it as "The capital city of Asiatic Europe, if such a thing could exist".
Finish your tour by visiting one of the most important museums in the world housing the unique collection of our treasures including those of Tutankhamen, The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.   • DAY 1
    Cairo Intl. Airport – Cairo ON

    Your Egypt tour begins at your chosen hotel in Cairo. Upon arrival to Cairo Intl. Airport, you will be met with our English-speaking representative who will help and assist you in all formalities. A private transfer by an A-C van from the airport to your hotel in Cairo is included. Arrive to your hotel, check in, rest and refresh. At night, free at leisure on your own in Cairo or (optional) sound and light show at Giza pyramids can be offered upon your request. Get back to your hotel and overnight in Cairo. [No Meals]

  • DAY 2
    Full Day Pyramids – Cairo ON

    Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Later on, you will be met with your Egyptologist tour guide in order to start your awe-inspiring tour in Egypt by exploring Pyramids of Giza, where the greatness has been embodied in three pyramids with a limestone statue of Sphinx guarding the whole area. After that you will proceed to the wonderful city of Sakkara to visit The Step Pyramid of king Djoser. This pyramid has a very nice story, when king Djoser asked his chief Architect Imhotep to create something different, so that the king could be buried at. As a result the well-known Architect managed to create the Step pyramid of Sakkara. At the end of the tour, we will drive towards the city of Memphis, where you can visit The Open Air Museum including the marvelous monuments of the well-known king Ramses II. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. At night, free at leisure on your own to discover Cairo by night. After that, you will get back to your hotel for overnight. [B, L]

  • DAY 3
    Alexandria City Tour – Cairo ON

    Breakfast will be served at your hotel. After that you will be met with our Egyptologist tour guide who will accompany you in such a stunning tour to Alexandria. You will start your Alexandria city tour by exploring one of the main sources of knowledge in the ancient world, The Alexandria Library. The site of which is the original site of the old Pharaoh. Later on, you will be transferred to have your lunch meal at local restaurant in Alexandria. After lunch, you will proceed to visit The Roman Amphitheatre, which is considered to be one of the most famous monuments belonging the Graeco-Roman period. Continue your Alexandria city tour by visiting Pompey’s pillar, which was erected in 292 AD. At the end you’ll be transferred to visit Sultan Qaitbay Citadel (from outside) which is considered to be one of most famous sightseeing in Alexandria. After finishing your day tour, we will drive back to Cairo. Arrive to Cairo and proceed to your hotel there for overnight. [B, L]

  • DAY 4
    Cairo City Tour – Cairo ON

    Breakfast will be served at your hotel. After that you will be met with GAT Tours’ Egyptologist tour guide, who will accompany you in such a stunning tour in Cairo including The Egyptian Museum, which is considered to be one of the most important museums in the world housing the Pharaonic monuments including those of the young king Tutankhamen. Later on, you will be transferred to have your Lunch meal at local restaurant. After Lunch, you will proceed to Old Cairo so you can visit Citadel of Salah El-Din, which played as a very important role in protecting Egypt, as it was considered the seat of power for more than 700 years. What about doing shopping between the gold and silver at one of the most famous bazaars, Khan El-Khalili Bazaars, which consider as one of the stunning bazaars in the Middle East! At last, you will get back to your hotel for rest and refresh. At night, free at leisure on your own or (optional) Nile Cruise Dinner with oriental show in Cairo can be offered upon request.   • DAY 5
    Cairo Intl. Airport – Final Departure

    Check out after breakfast. Later on, you will be met with GAT Tours’ English-speaking representative, who will transfer you by private A-C van to Cairo Intl. Airport for your final departure from Egypt, land of secrets via flight number … at … AM. [B]
