Your first stop in Egypt will be in Cairo, where the Marvelous pyramids of Giza are standing together, surrounding by a massive lime-stone statue of Sphinx. What an amazing design! All the work and effort that was placed into the tombs was incredible and the meaning behind each God and the hieroglyphics are enough to boggle anyone's mind.

Let us take you away to the south of Egypt, where the city of Aswan is existed. The ancient Souan or Aswan was also famous for its granite quarries. Thousands of Egyptian statutes, obelisks, shrines and even pyramids are constructed out of the Syenite granite mine in Aswan. The city of Aswan was also a crucial military base of the ancient Egypt. Whenever the reign of the land passed on to a new dynasty, security of the city was tightened the more. Aswan was always a garrison town. Mention of Aswan can be found in the writings of Herodotus, Strabo, Pliny and Ptolemy.
Look at Egypt’s map; go with your eyes to the south, where you will find Luxor. The city of Luxor is considered to be one of the most fascinating cities in Egypt. It contains the largest and most unique collection of the Egyptian temples and in its western hills laid the royal cemetery of our kings & nobles. Luxor took many names during its long history such as (w3st). This ancient Egyptian name symbolizes the rule and authority in ancient Egypt. The Greeks called it finally (Thebes) and Homer, the famous Greek poet called it (the city of the hundred gates). Again Arabs called it the city of el kessour ''palaces'', and with time this name was abbreviated to Luxor nowadays.
Your Egypt trip will be finished at the city of Alexandria, which is considered to be the second capital of Egypt. Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC to be the capital of the Graeco-Roman rule in Egypt. Its status as a beacon of culture is symbolized by Pharos, the legendary lighthouse that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

  • DAY 1
    Cairo Int. Airport – Cairo ON

    Your Egypt tour begins at your chosen hotel in Cairo. Upon arrival to Cairo Int. Airport, you will be met with our English-speaking representative who will help and assist you in all formalities. A private transfer by an A-C van from the airport to your hotel in Cairo is included. Arrives to your hotel, check in, rest and refresh. At night, free at leisure on your own in Cairo or (optional) sound and light show at Giza pyramids can be offered upon your request. After that, you will get back to your hotel for overnight. [No Meals]

  • DAY 2
    Full Day Pyramids – Train to Aswan

    (After breakfast) GAT Tours’ Egyptologist tour guide will meet your at the lobby of your hotel in order to accompany you in such an awe-inspiring tour to Pyramids of Giza "Khufu, Khafre & Menkaure", where the greatness has been embodied in three pyramids with a limestone statue of Sphinx guarding the whole area. After that you will proceed to visit The Step Pyramid of king Djoser. This pyramid has a very nice story, when king Djoser asked his chief Architect Imhotep to create something different, so that the king could be buried at. As a result the well known Architect managed to create the Step pyramid of Sakkara. At the end of the tour, we will drive towards the city of Memphis, where you can visit The Open Air Museum including the marvelous monuments of the well-known king Ramses II. After finishing your day tour, you will be transferred to Giza train station, in order to catch your sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner will be served on board then overnight. [B, L, D]

  • DAY 3
    Aswan – Abu Simbel – Aswan ON

    Breakfast meal will be served on board the train. Upon arrival to Aswan train station, you will be met and greet by our English-speaking tour leader, who will transfer you by private A-C van to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, you will proceed to explore Abu Simbel Temples in a very unique way. The city of Abu Simbel lies south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was Nubia. As you can see there is two temples were built in this area. The biggest one was called as the Great temple. It was built by king Ramses II and being dedicated to the famous god Rahorakhty. While the second one is called The Smaller temple and it was dedicated to king Ramses II and his beautiful wife queen Nefertari. After finishing your unique tour, you will be reverting back to Aswan. Arrive to Aswan and proceed to your hotel there for check in, rest and refresh. At night, free at leisure on your own in Aswan. After that, you will get back to your hotel for overnight. [B]

  • DAY 4
    Aswan City Tour – Aswan ON

    Check out after breakfast. Later on, you will be met with our tour leader, who will transfer you by private A-C van to your fabulous Nile cruise ship. Check in before 12:00 PM. At the beginning you will have your Lunch meal on board. After Lunch, you will be transferred to visit The High Dam, which has been erected by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect Egypt from the Nile flood. After that you will enjoy sailing on the Nile by a motor boat to reach Temple of Philae, which was erected during the Gaeco-Roman period and was dedicated to goddess Isis. At last you will be escorted to visit The Unfinished Obelisk, which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to god Amun Ra. After finishing your tour, you will return to your ship. At night, free at leisure in Aswan (optional) sound and light show at Philae temple. Get back to your ship and overnight. [B, L, D]

  • DAY 5
    Kom Ombo – Edfu – Esna ON

    Breakfast will be served on board your ship. After that, you will join our English-speaking tour guide to explore the wonderful city of Kom Ombo by visiting Temple of Kom Ombo, where the two gods Sobek & Haroeris were worshipped for a while. Get back to your ship and enjoy your lunch on the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. On its banks the ancient Egyptian civilization has been created & flourished. Afternoon, enjoy chariot riding to Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. Finally, you will return to your ship. Sail to Esna, cross the lock and sail to Luxor. Dinner will be served on board your ship. Enjoy your night time with Egyptian Folkloric Show (Galabeya Party).   • DAY 6
    Luxor West Bank – Luxor ON

    Breakfast will be served on board your ship. After that you will start your magical tour in Thebes, the sacred land by exploring the wet bank of Luxor including Valley of the Kings, which considers as the royal cemetery of the Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, and the place where our Pharaohs were buried. After that, you will proceed to visit Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple is considered as one of the most wonderful examples of the Architecture in ancient Egypt, because it was totally carved inside the mountain. What a genius architect who do this?! At the end of the tour you will visit Colossi of Memnon, which is considered to be the only survive monuments from the funerary temple of king Amenhotep III. After that you will return to your ship to enjoy your lunch meal on board. At night, free at leisure in Luxor (optional) sound and light show at Karnak temples. Get back to the ship and overnight.   • DAY 7
    Luxor East Bank – Train to Cairo

    Arrange your luggage, don’t waste the time and be ready at about 08:30 AM, as you will leave your Nile cruise after having this breakfast! After that you will enjoy your tour discovering the East Bank of Luxor, including the most wonderful Karnak temples, which is considered to be the biggest complex construction in the world covering an area of a hundred. Finish your lovely tour in Temple of Luxor, built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty & completed by the well know king Ramses II (from the 19th Dynasty). With a very unique experience in the south, you will get back to Cairo. A private transfer to Luxor train station is included. Distance between Luxor and Cairo takes between 13 & 14 hours by train. Dinner and overnight on board the train. [B, D]

  • DAY 8
    Cairo City Tour – Cairo ON

    Breakfast will be served on board the train. Upon arrival to Giza train station, you will be met with GAT Tours’ tour guide who will join you in such awe-inspiring tour in Cairo. Your tour today is completely different and more excited. Start your tour with The Egyptian Museum, which is considered to be one of the most important museums in the world. Later on, you will be transferred to have your Lunch meal. After Lunch, you will be transferred to Old Cairo area, where you can visit Citadel of Salah El-Din, which played as a very important role in protecting Egypt, as it was considered the seat of power for more than 700 years. What about doing shopping between the gold & silver objects at one of the most famous bazaars, Khan El-Khalili Bazaars, which consider as one of the stunning bazaars in the Middle East!. After finishing your day tour, you will revert back to your hotel. Rest and refresh.     Alexandria City Tour – Cairo ON

    (Morning time – at 07:30 AM) GAT Tours’ Egyptologist tour guide will join you in such amazing tour. As today you have a meeting with the unique collection of our monuments. You will start your Alexandria city tour by exploring one of the main sources of knowledge in the ancient world, The Alexandria Library. The site of which is the original site of the old Pharaoh (lighthouse). Later on you will be transferred to have your lunch meal at local restaurant in Alexandria. After lunch, you will proceed to visit The Roman Amphitheatre, which is considered to be one of the most famous monuments belonging the Graeco-Roman period. Continue your awesome tour in the city Alexandria by visiting Pompey’s pillar, which was erected in 292 AD. Finish your tour with Qaitbay Citadel, which is considered to be one of most famous sightseeing in Alexandria. After finishing your day tour, we will drive back to Cairo.
