Join us in this trip to the best countries of the Middle East, where you must find the land of the Pharaohs, Egypt. This country is one of the most popular countries in the Middle East and the black continent Africa as well. The importance of Egypt came from the very strategic location of which, as this country located in the heart of the world, so this unique location makes Egypt acting like the guide of the Middle East and the ruler of Africa.
During the Pharaonic period Egypt was called KMT which means the black land. This name came from the mud color of the fertile farmland of Egypt, as the ancient Egyptian used to call the thing with its color or something similar to it. So they decided to call Egypt as the black land.
The second part of your awe-inspiring mysteries trip will be completed in Jordan, the most civilized country in the Middle East. Jordan is considered to be one of the most important countries in the Middle East, as it is located in the middle of the world. Because of its geographic location, Jordan played a vital role as a conduit for trade and communications, connecting east and west, north and south.
The kingdom of Jordan has a great civilization, which includes the Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, Assyrian and Mesopotamian Empires. From the west, Pharaonic Egypt managed to extend its power and culture into Jordan. However, the nomadic Nabateans erected their powerful empire in Jordan after migrating from the south of the Arabian Peninsula. Finally, Jordan was incorporated into the classical civilizations of Greece, Rome and Persia, the monuments of which are scattered across the Jordanian landscape. Since the mid-seventh century CE, the land of Jordan has remained almost continuously in the hands of various Arab and Islamic dynasties.

Despite successive attempts by the Seleucid king Antigonus, the Roman emperor Pompey and Herod the Great to bring Petra under the control of their respective empires, Petra remained largely in Nabataean hands until around 100 AD, when the Romans diverted to the north the caravan routes that had brought Petra its wealth. It was still inhabited during the Byzantine period, when the former Roman Empire moved its focus east to Constantinople, but declined in importance thereafter. The Crusaders constructed a fort there in the 12th century, but soon withdrew, leaving Petra to the local people until the early 19th century, when it was visited by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. The approach to Petra is unforgettable, made either on foot or horseback through the Outer Siq and then on foot through the Siq itself. The Siq ends in an open space which is dominated by the Treasury, Petra’s most famous building. A local guide will give a brief history of the city.
